Bongo Java’s BOX

The undisputed king of coffee in Nashville is Bongo Java, located in the Belmont neighborhood. With more than 25 years of history, this neighborhood institution has remained a staple in the area. Although the original location has undergone renovations, Bongo Java has remained true to its DIY spirit. The neighborhood is home to several universities, including Vanderbilt University and Lipscomb University, and the Bongo Java has become a hub for area college students.

Frothy Monkey

After a successful run as a breakfast spot in Nashville, Frothy Monkey is looking to expand to Knoxville. The coffeehouse and sandwich shop has been contemplating the move for four years. The new location will be located on Gay Street in the Kress Building, a downtown development Thomas Boyd purchased last year. The new restaurant will also feature Fat Tuesday, a frozen daiquiri bar. Construction is expected to begin within 30 to 60 days.

Cafe Roze

Hip all-day coffee shop, Cafe Roze, is a great place to spend a lazy Sunday. The menu features upscale takes on classic American fare. Coffee drinks and espressos are the best ways to start the day, especially if you’re feeling peckish. The hip, airy setting also makes for a great place to people-watch and people-watchers. You’ll feel the energy and buzz from the music playing in the background.

Stay Golden Restaurant & Roastery

The savory breakfast selections at Stay Golden Restaurant & Roastery are sure to satisfy even the most discriminating coffee lover. Guests can also enjoy one of their signature beverages, such as latte art. The restaurant offers plenty of parking and is a perfect setting for a business meeting or a quick lunch with friends. Stay Golden also offers tours of their roasting operation. After lunch, you can enjoy a tasty and unique meal while taking in the sights and sounds of this popular Nashville attraction.

Caliber Coffee

If you’re looking for a new place to grab a coffee and a bite to eat, consider the recently opened Caliber Coffee in Nashville. Open six days a week, the new coffee shop offers everything from tropical salads to croissant sandwiches and cheese bread. There’s also a full menu of sandwiches, breakfast platters, and a specialty item called croque madama. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a crab cake BLT or a twist on a Cuban sandwich. You’ll have a hard time choosing from the food and the atmosphere of Caliber Coffee, though.
